How to Prepare a Poultice
To treat an abscess Animalintex® will need to be applied as a hot poultice. Place in a shallow tray with the plastic side facing up. Do not use a bucket, unless it has been sterilised first.
Using boiled water that has been allowed to cool to around 38 degrees centigrade, pour the water into the tray around the edges of the Animalintex® poultice.
Once the Animalintex® is saturated, remove from the water and gently squeeze out any excess water, so the poultice is damp rather than wet and place on the infected area with the plastic side facing up.
