We are proud to share that we have been recognised for our ongoing academic partnership with The University of Manchester through a shortlist nomination at the Medilink Healthcare Business Awards for the ‘Partnership with Academic’ award.
We have established a strong collaborative relationship with the University of Manchester’s SMI Hub through our ongoing Knowledge Transfer Partnership to develop an alternative solution to our detergent-proof washbowls that currently rely on PFAS chemicals. PFAS chemicals, known as ‘forever chemicals,’ are a growing environmental and health crisis. Linked to cancer, liver damage, and immune system harm, PFAS contaminate water, soil, and even human blood, with 99% of people having detectable levels. Remind yourself of the project here.
This award nomination celebrates our ongoing commitment to innovation and academic partnerships, alongside improving our products to reduce their impact on the environment.
Congratulations to all the team involved, and we look forward to the awards ceremony in May!
